"My sincere thanks to the Officers and Committee of the Northern Newfoundland Club for the invitation to judge their Breed Championship Show. There is no greater honour than to judge your beloved breed at a Club Show and this Covid delayed appointment I looked forward to with much anticipation during the dark days of lockdown.

I had an excellent entry of 89 dogs making 110 entries, there were very few absentees on the day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day and a big thank you to all the exhibitors for their entries, the lovely atmosphere and their sporting acceptance of my decisions. Many thanks also to my most efficient stewards, John Evans and Stella Baxter, Rose Evans and Steve Heitschold for keeping everything running smoothly. Congratulations again to all the winners.

As an overview of the entry, I found temperaments excellent, movement was very good in general. Overall the quality of both dogs and bitches was top class and I was spoiled for choice with all class winners, there are some super up and coming young stock which will make for interesting showing in the coming years and augers well for the future of the breed.

My class winners would be very strong competitors at any International Shows worldwide."
