"I thank the Officers and Committee of The Newfoundland Club for the opportunity to judge this lovely breed. I started with the bitches as the dogs were under way in the next ring at the Northern Newfoundland Show. There were some top class exhibits in both sexes but overall, there was more depth of quality in the bitch entry I felt. Temperaments were superb and all of the dogs were clean. Thanks to all of the exhibitors for their support and the sporting manner in which they accepted my decisions. Thanks also to my two excellent stewards, Sue Benyon and Derek Parkinson."
