"I was looking for sound, balanced Newfoundlands that were fit for purpose and capable of doing the work they are bred for. Thank you to all exhibitors for their entries and presenting their dogs in immaculate condition. I was privileged to have so many quality exhibits and sadly some had to go home cardless. All dogs were sound, and temperaments as expected in a Newfoundland. Only one bad mouth. There seems to be a great improvement on long droopy jowels! Perhaps due to shorter muzzles. A note to breeders, my only concern was lack of bone in some of the younger male exhibits. We are the caretakers of our breed and as such should only breed from the best."
