"It is always an honour to be asked to judge a club show and I was thrilled to receive this invite. A breed I have watched, and enjoyed judging, for many years now. Thank you to the club and especially to the exhibitors who stayed for the club show in rather unfavourable conditions.

What a lovely, quality entry, yes, the conditions affected a few but in general I was pleasantly surprised at how well they coped although I did try to keep movement to a minimum.

I have to comment on two other areas, first the atmosphere round the ring. It was refreshing to hear the support and applause for each other, something some other breeds should take note of. Second was the temperament of all the dogs who were a credit to the owners, every single one confident and assured in the ring and all getting along together, unlike in the adjacent ring.

Finally, a personal thank you to those exhibitors who stepped in to help my wife Debbie when the heat got the better of her. It was much appreciated."
