"I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of The Newfoundland Club for giving me the honour of judging the bitches at this show. I would also like to extend my thanks to my co-judge, Abi Stevenson, and the exhibitors for the entry and for making it a wonderful day for me.

Temperaments were excellent as I would expect. I was also pleased to see that mouths had improved and that tails had grown to the correct length. On the down side I found that quite a few bitches with straight fronts and poor angulation. I like to see slight toe-in on the front but some were over-done. Finally, some could have been placed higher if they had been better prepared."
