"Thank you for a super day, with some nice dogs. The standard of presentation was very good and much appreciated. A number of exhibitors handled to best effect. Overall the quality was pleasing, if varied. Movement was generally good in profile, although there were a number which disappointed when coming and going. Head and tail carriage were generally good, although some exhibits did either fly their tail too high, or had the tail clamped between their rear legs. This causes the dog to look unbalanced on the move and detracts from the silhouette.

In the dogs, there were a number of masculine kind benevolent heads of quality. In the bitches, there were many pretty feminine soft headpieces of good proportions, balancing well with the overall size.

Across the breed, I was impressed by the number of good tight dark correctly shaped eyes, so essential for a correct soft expression. Any looseness of eye seemed exceptional. There were many with good small nicely set ears but also some that were too long which spoilt the appearance. Most exhibits had ample bone. Feet were generally tight and well shaped. Many dogs impressed in shape of neck and over the croup. A number of exhibits were narrow at the elbow and lacked breadth of chest. Dentition was good generally.

Congratulations to my BOB on achieving G2 later in the day. There were some super puppies, making for difficult decisions."
