"My thanks to the Committee of the Working and Pastoral Breeds of Scotland for their invitation to judge my beloved Breed, also to the Exhibitors for their fine entry and sporting acceptance of my decisions . I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

We had a large ring, so plenty of room for moving the dogs. I found the overall entry to be of high quality, and my winners were top class, and potential winners in any company. I was particularly impressed by the younger exhibits, they will do much for the Breed in the coming years and are bringing a marked improvement to the Breed across all colours. Temperaments were uniformly excellent, heads were pleasing, toplines were generally good, a few dogs could be fitter. Breed type and outline were very good, tail set and length of tail has much improved, however, sound hind movement cost some a higher placing.

Knowing the time and effort involved, I much appreciated the super clean and well groomed coats presented over the three colours, my Class winners would be a good yardstick in this respect.
