Judge's Comments |

"I was very pleased with this large entry of mainly excellent quality dogs. It was very disheartening to leave good dogs unplaced and some placings came down to minor points plus performance. I note there is a slight tendency for placing the hind legs with hocks too far back behind the point of buttock - this not only gives the dog unnecessary length but will eventually result in an incorrect sloping topline. Profiles (moving and standing) were very pleasing but it is important not to forget the 'coming and going' action with some relative width between limbs and parallel action of legs. Presentation was very good with some groomed to absolute perfection. Temperaments were excellent and I was greeted with a wagging tail or a Newfie 'kiss' in most cases." Mrs. Del Richards |
