Judge's Comments

"There were some very nice bitches and I particularly liked my PB and JB winners and the first three in LB could easily swap places on another day and 1st and 2nd in OB. OD had three super specimens but was disappointed there were only two in LD. The first three in PD were also very promising and I was flattered that so many were so beautifully presented.

Temperaments were exemplary with I think only one appearing anxious. Generally bites were good and eye colour was good. There were a few round eyes. The dogs generally coped very well with the uneven ground. I liked that so many dogs carried their tails correctly and that generally movement was positive and sound. There were a number of dogs which were disappointing when moving away.

Overall I was looking for a balanced, well proportioned and substantial specimen with bone to complement and masculine dogs and feminine bitches. I was generally pleased with profile movement. There were some disappointing toplines and a number of dogs carrying too much weight. I also thought there were a number of dogs that were too narrow at the elbow and across the chest. Everyone including the dogs coped well with the heat."
