"I would like to thank all the exhibitors for allowing me to judge their lovely Newies at the show. I have just a few general comments to make about some of the entries. Eyes seem to be getting round, not the nice small almond shape we expect to find in our wonderful breed. Some mouths were poor, so breeders please be careful to avoid this becoming a major problem. Movement in some cases was not what you would expect in a working breed.

On the positive side I had some really fantastic Newfies to go over, and temperament as always was exemplary. I hope you all had as good a day as I did. The atmosphere as always at the Northern Newfoundland Club shows was first class, for which we must thank the organisers and the stewards, who kept everything running smoothly."
